Period 3- Semester Final

1. My favorite photo from this slideshow is #5.  The reasons they are my favorite are, I like how the photo captures a person in their daily life just going to the beach and then a submarine comes into the photo which is not often you see a submarine close to the beach. It is also my favorite because I like how it has a deep depth of field. Lastly Its my favorite because the focus is not on the larger part of the photo(the girl) and on the submarine which makes the viewer actually focus intently on scanning the photo.
2. The photo that is the best from the slideshow is #9 1. It uses rule of thirds well like how the deer and the bird are not centered. 2. The photo has so much detail in the background and on the top with the trees and branches. 3. It captures a moment which might not normally occur with the bird on top of the deer.
3. My best work this semester is the masters of photography project on Henri Cartier-Bresson. 1. It is my best work because I believe that I managed emulate his style of photography. 2. The photos have more objects and people that make the photo more alive and active. 3. The photos are filled all the way so the photo has so many things to look at.
4. My three rules of composition are Rule of thirds, using light and shadows, and experiment with different angles and take a lot of photos so you take the best photo possible.
5.                                                                   Mission pool
This photo illustrates the rule of thirds and light and shadows.
6. The first of the great Bryan Farley's rules of composition is get closer.
7. The benefits of working in a group are
we can ask each other questions and help each other
we are responsible for each other so we can be held accountable, more drive to work hard
we can share different views and show different perspectives
if someone is doing well we can emulate their success
develop communication skills
8. The difficulties of working in a group are
one person may slow you down
you may disagree with your group
some group member might not want to participate
they can communicate badly
one person may not be able to stay on task
9. My favorite work of another student is the photo Junior took of a staircase
10. My photographer was Henri Cartier-Bresson. He contributed the decisive moment which was “The decisive moment, it is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event as well as the precise organization of forms which gives that event its proper expression.”- Henri Cartier-Bresson
11. The most famous photo of Dorothea Lange is "Migrant Mother." The photo was taken in 1936 in Nipomo, California. She was then hired by the Resettlement administration.
12. John Ames Mitchell was the creator/ founder of Life Magazine. The first issue was published November 23, 1936.
13. Robert Capa was a founding member of magnum photography. It was founded in 1947
14. "Falling Soldier" was taken September 5th, 1936 in Spain during the Spanish Civil War.
